You'll typically learn about the coffee plants, help pick cherries (seasonal), process them (pulping, washing, drying), roast the beans over an open fire, grind them traditionally using stones or a mortar, and finally brew and savor your very own cup of fresh Chagga coffee.

Waterfall Hike & Chagga Culture

The hike to the waterfall takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour through scenic farmland and forest paths, which can be muddy and slippery, especially after rain. Your local guide will point out various plants and explain their uses. At the impressive waterfall, you can admire the cascade and even take a chilly dip! The tour often includes insights into Chagga history, traditions, and a chance to see local homes and farming practices.
